Mixed Light

I like the bright yellow/white lights against the dark blue sky.

I think the lights from the sign look very interesting and really stand out from everything else. I also like the curve of the building and the ledge that the sign is on and I love the perspective.

I love the sun and how much it seems to stand out. I also like the way the models are the lit up against the darker background.

Philip Dunn
I love the yellow glow that the lightbulb gives off against the cool blue sky. I also think the shape of the building is very interesting.

I love the calm color scheme in this one and I like how the windows aren't too bright and overpowering compared to the lighting in the rest of the room.

Saturated Colors

I love the greens here and how it makes the path stands out. I also love the curves from the trees and how they go back into space.

I like the composition and the yellows in this one.

I think the composition of the curve with the ball of string is very interesting. I also like the blue against the white.

I picked this one because I took pictures of flowers for this week and I liked how this image didn't just look like a generic flower photo. Also, I love the yellow against the green and I like the red background.

I like the angle this was shot at and I love the color scheme.

I love how the red flower pops against the green leaves.

This one is actually muted, not saturated, but I decided to post it anyway because it's one of my favorite Annie Leibovitz photos. I love all the reds and the light from the fire. I also love the composition and how it all looks very antique and I love the dark vignetting

Muted Colors

For this week, I decided to look for photos with muted colors, seeing as how that's what I photographed for this week's assignment.
(Unfortunately, I couldn't find the names of any of the artists.)

I like the shades of blue and gray in this one.

I like the pop of red against the muted neutral colors. I also like the light coming in through the window.

This one looks very cold and wintery. I like the composition with the bridge and the plants/trees.

I think it's cool how in this one the colors seem bright while still being muted. I also think the clouds and the trees look really cool.

I love all the colors and patterns in the parasols.

I like all the colors against the white background in this one.

John Pfahl

These are all from John Pfahl's Extreme Horticulture project. I really enjoy looking at the bright colors and light in these photos.
