Henk van Rensbergen

So last week I came across this website, Abandoned Places.com (http://www.abandoned-places.com/), which features the work of Henk van Rensbergen. I thought it was interesting that his whole career consists of finding abandoned places to photograph. Personally, I like his black and white stuff better, but I tried to pick some color photos, too. These are some of my favorites that I found.

Abandoned Places

My final project for Color class is "Abandoned Places," so for this week I decided to look up "abandoned places."

Henk van Rensbergen

I love the creepy orange light/tones and how clear the view from the window is.

I love the depth in this one.

This one also has great depth and perspective.

I wasn't really sure what to look up as a reference to the colorworks show, so I just picked a bunch of photos that I liked in hopes that they fit the topic.

Portraits

I love the creepiness of this photo with the green color scheme and the shadows and the strange pose.

I like this one because of the colors...that's about it...

I like how this one is still a great portrait even though it's zoomed out. I also like all the lines going back into space.

I think this one is adorable and I love the composition.

I just thought this one was funny and I like the angle it was shot at.

This one is my favorite photo that I'm posting this week. I love the contrast and I love the composition. It's a very strange and unusual photograph, which is why I think I like it so much.
